Jarvis Brookfield is a UK-based artist exploring the intersections of spirituality, identity, and lived perception. Shaped by African and British lineages, he works from a plural sense of belonging—neither fixed nor singular. Working intuitively with acrylic on canvas, he builds layered, flowing, and textural fields that centre presence and perception. His paintings invite a slower way of looking—meeting the work in a state of flow and openness—and a more intimate noticing of the subtle currents that shape our felt sense of being alive.

Born in Croydon, England, in 1992, Jarvis Brookfield spent his formative years in Derby and studied Fine Art at De Montfort University, Leicester. In 2021, he received the People’s Choice Prize at the Robert Walters UK New Artist of the Year Award and exhibited a collection of paintings at Saatchi Gallery, London. In 2022, he was commissioned by The World Reimagined to create a globe for their nationwide arts education project. Brookfield is currently based in Leicester, England.
